Marquis Motorhomes have a great year of sales

Motorhomes sales don’t seem to be affected by the recession this year.

Good news for the motorhome industry this week, with Marquis Motorhomes a Hampshire based motorhome dealer seeing great sales over $4 million this year after this years Motorhome and Caravan Show at the Birmingham NEC Arena. The Andover Advertiser talked about the success that Marquis have had this year right here, and it just goes to show that even in recession based times the motorhome is still doing well!

Marquis Motorhomes were founded in 1973, which makes them older than me, and have 9 branches throughout the UK.  It was only recently that Marquis had a management buy out which saw them become privately owned alongside Auto-Sleepers Ltd and now together they form the Auto-Sleepers Group.

So generally this is all good news for the motorhome industry and obviously a note to how successful shows like the recent Birmingham show can be.  We hope to get down to a few shows in the later part of next year, if we get any free time away from work that is.

It’s interesting when you think about the current financial situation and that a Motorhome sales company like Marquis Motorhomes is having a great financial year.  It could be that people are looking to spend less money on holidays and see the benefits that a motorhome can offer both cost and freedom wise!  Or it could be that the main buyers of motorhomes are not in the demographic that has been affected by the current financial recession both in the UK and Worldwide.  Either way its really good news for the motorhome community and the industry in general.
