I think the event that everyone in the UK is thinking about mostly in 2012 is of course the Olympics being held in London next year.  This event is going to be huge for the UK and London is set to see one of it’s busiest tourist years, meaning lots of hustle bustle, and of course lots of hotels booked to full capacity.  Taking a motorhome break to see the Olympics is an alternative option, meaning you can park and camp outside the city, and then find a quick and easy route into the centre via public transport.

The Chinese New Year

The Chinese New Year arrives on the 23rd of January in 2012 and is one of the biggest Chinese celebrations to take place outside of China.  Again the festivities will be going on in London and will play host to an amazing parade and then a celebration festival.  Just so you know and don’t put your foot in it, 2012 is the year of the dragon.

If your a motorhome enthusiast and fancy heading to London early summer, then the Chelsea Flower Show is a great way to kick start your Summer festivities.  You can take in the great displays, gardens and general green fingered’ness that the Chelsea flower show is being held in May 2012.

Wimbledon

Finally we have the event that everyone loves in the summer, Wimbledon.  Back again in 2012 you can hop on down to London in a motorhome hire vehicle to see the best tennis players from around the world compete in one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments ever held.
