When it comes to England and Winter, not many people think of hiring a motorhome in the festive period, but there is plenty to see and do even in the colder winter months on a motorhome hire holiday!  So whether you want to see spectacular Christmas lights or even take part in some quirky Yuletide themed events we have something for everyone.

The Great Christmas Pudding Race

Not only is the Great Christmas Pudding Race a fine way to raise money for Cancer Research, it also is a lot of fun.  The premise is that teams of people compete in a short obstacle course/race around Covent Garden piazza in London, while trying to balance a Christmas pudding on a plate.  Another bonus is that you get to put on some fancy dress and of course raise money for charity, what’s not to like!

The Great Christmas Pudding Race takes place in London on the 3rd December.

Munchester Castle’s Darkest specialist tour

Munchester Castle is situated in Ravenglass in Cumbria and holds various events for the public during the year, however at certain times like Christmas they really pull out all the stops.  Apart from getting a daytime tour round the castle you can also experience the Munchester Darkest illuminations which feature light, sounds and special effects to create a mystical experience. Special tours are also available on certain dates which include candle lit Victorian themed tours to bring a little history to Christmas.

Oxford Street Christmas lights

If you love Christmas decorations, and lets be honest who doesn’t?  Then the Oxford Street, West End Christmas Lights are some of the best Christmas street decorations in the world.  The lights go live on the 1st of November and stay lit till the 5th of January, so if you in London during that time we wholly recommend you take a look and soak up some of the festive atmosphere.
