What new in the Laika Motorhome range for 2012

Laika Motorhomes – Some Big Changes for 2012

Auto-Trail's range of 2012 Motorhome model previewThis may shock even seasoned caravan and motorhome hire enthusiasts but the Italian Luxury motorhome brand Laika is actually owned by the Hymer Group, yes that’s right Italians and Germans living in harmony!

What’s has changed in the Laika mtorhome range for 2012

Laika has made some big changes to it’s 2012 motorhomes with no fewer than 17 low-profile models with drop-down beds and new layouts introduced, quite a busy year.

Forget all that though, the really big news is that Laika has launched the super sexy Kreos motorhome which is now the A-class range and on top of all that there is a new nine-model range of motorhomes due out to be called the Rexosline A-class range which will launch in early 2012.

The Kreos range has eight models of motorhome that vary in length from 6.99 to 7.6 metres and all have Fiat AL-KO and Iveco chassis.

The Kreos motorhome models have all been built for very cold temperatures and most models are fitted with new double floors filled with 63mm of Styrofoam, insulated doors and water pipes that are large to avoid freezing, heated water tanks, C6 heating in the habitation, plus there’s under-seat cab heating. (pretty hot stuff!)

There are also some features in the Laika motorhome range that we particularly liked such as:

The domestic-style cooker, Corian worktops and extractor fans for example, and a really big wow factor that makes you feel like a superstar is the remote control activated lights on the steps that are outside the motorhome, press the remote and hey presto the steps light up.

The absolute must see motorhome in both ranges is the new Kreos 7009 A class which is pure class and luxury but don’t take my word for it have a look for yourself on the southdowns motorhome website who are the only distributor of Laika’s caravans in the UK.
