Improvements to the Elddis Motorhome range for January 2012

Whats New for Elddis Motorhomes in 2012

Well with 2011 just behind us we take a look at what the UK manufacturer has in store for us in 2012. First off the Elddis Autoquest 100 has been discontinued and a new model, the 165 added to the range which has a rear French-bed layout, there is also a nifty half-dinette up front and a side-sofa.

2012 is a year of big changes right across the board for the Elddis range which has been modernised to improve the look and provides a better looking product, some of their changes include:

  • new one-piece low-profile pods
  • new pleasingly asymmetric back windows
  • wheel arch spats are now more modern and angular.
  • motorhomes skirts are now tough ABS plastic
  • Floor underside is skinned with GRP to reduce the effects of road spray

Elddis has reduced the weight of all it’s Autoquest models which means that you have more fuel efficiency, this has also allowed them to increase payloads for things like the water tank which has increased capacity from 45 – 90 litres with the obvious benefits.

All models get a trendy looking bathroom as well with a space-saving sink and a folding shower-screen partition and the Thetford’s C250 toilet and tank mounted on wheels, is now fitted as standard.

Heating has also improved which is very important in these cold winter month’s and the latest generation dual-fuel Whale heaters have replaced the old heating systems.

As well as all these big changes Elddis has also looked at the attention to detail with such things as positive locking catches on all overhead lockers, we like the improvements that have been made to the Elddis range overall and think that this will be a good year for the company.
